Stephen "Risi" Risimini, 60, of Cedar Grove, N.J., passed away on Nov. 3, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 10 a.m. from Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave. (Route 23), Cedar Grove, N.J. 07009. Funeral Mass is at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church in Cedar Grove. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Risi was born and raised in Belleville, N.J., and moved to Cedar Grove about 17 years ago. He was a carpenter with Bergen County Local 15 for 25 years, retiring in 2010.
He was the beloved husband of 30 years to Janice Risimini (DeCaito); devoted father of Stephanie, Vincenzina and Michael; cherished brother of James, Mario and Joyce Murphy, and loving companion of his dog, Oreo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
